Registering on Giochistarter gives you access to both www.giochix.it (publishing platform) and www.giochistarter.it (shop and crowdfunding). Registration implies full acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You can manage or cancel your account at any time from your Account page.
You can opt in or out of our newsletter at any time from your profile. If active, you'll occasionally receive emails about new products and offers.
You retain ownership of any content you upload to the site, but you grant Inmedia Srl a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve our services. This licence survives account cancellation. You are solely responsible for the content you post.
Users must behave correctly and in good faith. You are responsible for all activity performed through your account and must comply with applicable laws, including anti-spam regulations.
Giochistarter.it is a platform dedicated to board games. It offers:
For projects, Giochistarter acts solely as an intermediary connecting backers with project managers. Inmedia Srl is not a party to the pledge between backer and manager.
By backing a project, you confirm you have read and understood all information on the project page, including:
Backing a project gives you the right to receive the promised reward. It does not give you any ownership, intellectual property, or profit-sharing rights in the project.
Refunds do not include transaction fees charged by payment providers (e.g. PayPal). The campaign total — including paid orders and confirmed shop preorders — is calculated at campaign close and is final.
Platform discounts, promotional codes, and bonuses (including Fidelity and Supporter programmes) can be modified or withdrawn at any time at Inmedia Srl's discretion. Discounts cannot be applied to auctions.
By publishing a project on Giochistarter, the project manager agrees to:
Maximum collectible amounts: €15,000 via Mangopay, €20,000 via PayPal. Campaign parameters (goal, rewards, deadline, PayPal account) cannot be changed once the campaign starts, except in exceptional circumstances at Inmedia Srl's sole discretion. New stretch goals and rewards may be added during the campaign.
Project managers accept the Giochistarter Fidelity Programme, which gives top users a discount of up to 10% on reward prices for crowdfunding and crowdpreordering projects.
If Inmedia Srl manages fulfilment, the project manager must deliver games to our warehouse in Rome at least 45 days before the required dispatch date, at their own cost. Any customs charges or VAT on that delivery are the manager's responsibility.
If a crowdfunding project does not reach its goal, the project manager may not launch another project on any crowdfunding platform for 12 months. The only exception is launching a new campaign directly on Giochistarter.
If a project runs simultaneously on other platforms, Giochistarter backers must receive conditions at least as favourable as those offered elsewhere (rewards, stretch goals, pricing).
The project manager is the sole owner of funds received and is entirely responsible for all tax and accounting obligations arising from the campaign income. Inmedia Srl has no responsibility or involvement in this matter.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Users agree to indemnify Inmedia Srl, its employees, and agents against any claims arising from misuse of the platform or violation of these terms.
Using Giochistarter is free. Fees apply only to project managers who publish a project; these are displayed on the project creation page.
Accepted payment methods: credit/debit card (via Mangopay, Stripe, or Sumup), PayPal, Satispay, and bank wire transfer. Please refer to the terms of each payment provider for their specific conditions.
Users are responsible for any taxes and duties applicable to their purchases.
We ship via postal service or courier (UPS, GLS, SDA, DHL, BRT, and others). Available products are normally dispatched within 24–48 working hours of order confirmation. We reserve the right to split an order into multiple shipments or combine multiple orders into one, with no additional cost to you.

Delivery times are indicative, not guaranteed. Delays near public holidays are possible, especially for postal service.
Courier shipments can be tracked via the link on your order page. Postal service shipments are not tracked. In rare cases (0.1–1% of deliveries), postal items may be lost.
Courier shipments include basic insurance against loss and destruction. The optional "insured" courier service (where available) also covers damage — but you must notify the courier at the time of delivery (sign "with reservation" or refuse the package). Postal insurance, where available, covers loss and destruction only.
Cosmetic damage to the game box is not covered. We will only reship or refund items that were covered by loss/destruction insurance. Damage claims must be filed within 7 days of receipt; after that, the courier will automatically reject them.
If a delivery fails due to an error on your part (wrong address, absent recipient, package not collected from depot, etc.), you will be charged for return shipping, any storage fees, and re-delivery. If the error is ours, we will reship at our expense.
We will always investigate the cause of a delivery failure before reshipping. Investigation via courier typically takes a few days; via postal service it can take 1–5 weeks.
If you are outside the European Union, customs duties and import taxes may apply. These are entirely your responsibility. We have no control over customs charges and cannot estimate them in advance.
Orders must be collected within 90 days of availability (or at the first available fair date for fair pickup). After this period, a storage fee of €1/kg per 30 days applies. Orders not collected within 24 months of availability will be cancelled.

Quantities of preorder products are subject to the quantities actually allocated by manufacturers and distributors. In case of allocation or supply lower than the quantities ordered, we reserve the right to reduce the confirmed quantities even after the order has been paid. Any amount paid for unavailable quantities will be refunded.
Refunds are issued in full except where the payment provider charges a fee (e.g. PayPal: 3–4%; Stripe/Mangopay: no fee). If automatic refund is not possible (e.g. PayPal after 6 months, Satispay after a few days), you may request a bank wire transfer refund via our contact form — a €4.95 handling fee applies in this case.
Private consumers may return games purchased on our website within 15 days of receipt. This does not apply to purchases made by businesses, shops, or companies.
Claims for damage during shipping must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the package. After this deadline, the courier will automatically reject the claim.
Claims for lost or undelivered packages must be made within 120 days of the dispatch date.
Promotions, vouchers, and special offers have limited validity and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. Acquired vouchers and cashback bonuses expire as described in the offer, and in any case no later than 12 months after issue.
Orders are reviewed manually to prevent errors. We reserve the right to approve or decline any order. Outstanding payments remain due.
This section applies to games published under the Giochix brand (games with the Giochix logo on the box).
If a component is missing or defective (e.g. a token, die, or card), we will replace it free of charge upon request.
This guarantee covers only components that are genuinely unfit for use. It does not cover:
Replacement parts are available for up to 2 years from the game's release date. After this period, availability cannot be guaranteed.
These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome, Italy.
In accordance with Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, the following clauses are expressly approved by the user: Limitation of liability; Payments & fees; Governing law & jurisdiction; Resolution clause.
Resolution clause: failure to comply with the obligations set out in these Terms will result in automatic termination of the agreement, entitling Inmedia Srl to suspend the service and seek compensation for any resulting damages.
