Have your players defeated a monster, and you need to determine its loot? Use Treasure Dice!
How they work: Ask your player to roll the 3 white Treasure dice and check the results. The aim is to get more symbols of the same type as possible. The symbols are magic (a potion), coins (copper, silver, gold), gems, and a star. The star symbol is jolly and can be combo with any other symbol.
Depending on the Monster Challenge rating, the Master can allow players to reroll 1+ dice, if they want.
The results determine the loot depending on what comes up with the coin, gem, and item symbols. If you get 3 or more Magic symbols, you have to use the other 2 dice to determine the nature of the Item. The first die (Item die) determines the item type (potion, ring, wand, clothes, weapon, etc.), while the second die (Bonus die) determines the bonus type. If you get 5+ magic symbols, you can also roll the third die (Power die), which includes the more exciting powers. The same happens if you get the crown symbol with the Bonus die.
Treasure dice work well with your campaign in any way, whether a rich campaign or not, as they suggest to the Master the approximate quantity, and the Master assigns the final value to the players, balancing it with its game campaign.
