The game configuration is determined by the number of players. With 3 players you will place the Leadership Track and the Heroes and Wonders board on the map to cover up Egypt and Babylon. You will then only play with Rome, Greece, and Carthage. With 4 players you will place only the Leadership Track on the map to cover up Babylon and you will play with Rome, Greece, Carthage, and Egypt. With 5 players you will place the Leadership Track and Heroes and Wonders board to the side of the map, leaving all five empires uncovered.
The Atlas Expansion Rule Book contains rules for alternative game setups on the back of the book.

The Castor & Pollux marker is included inside the 'Mare Nostrum - Empires' game. When Castor & Pollux is purchased, the player who purchased them declares which Hero they are copying and places the Castor & Pollux marker on that hero to better remember which power they are duplicating.
The Peace Tokens are for use with the Statue of Zeus power to make opponents unable to fight you during a Move & Battle phase.
The Odysseus Marker is to be used with Odysseus' power to mark the sea space that the player who controls Odysseus will use to transport land units even though there is no trireme there. This sea space is selected at any time during your turn and the marker can be moved if a different sea space is selected in a future turn.
Yes, you should have only received 5 'At War' Markers. Asyncron decided to have only 5 printed instead of 10 when it was determined through many play-tests that you generally only have 1 or 2 provinces 'At War' at the end of each move and battle phase. 1

Di massima noto le stesse mancanze già notate da maikol.tardioli per le regole. Se però ho capito bene il messaggio di your Michele Q forse è un falso problema

- le regole per gli eroi sono su www.giochix.it nella pagina di mare nostrum da tempo.
- appena l'Asyncron ci comunicherà, se lo farà, altre regole aggiuntive provvederemo ad inserirle sul sito.
- confermo che i componenti ci sono tutti, in ogni caso potete contattare l'Academy gamessu Kickstarter per verificare mancanze nell'edizione.
- il manuale è stato rivisto molte volte, anche se è stato anche cambiato molte volte dalla sua versione originale. Se hai segnalazioni da fare su refusi o problemi le inseriremo ben volentieri nelle faq.
